‘John Milton did write Paradise Lost but he also wrote Paradise Regained, which it certainly was for us this last week when our entire family (14 in all) was here to see our daughter married from La Ceruglia.’
Devon

‘Three weeks, what bliss, learning about Piero della Francesca, Tuscan hill towns, art and architecture, and great meals with a group of good friends, an experience to enrich our lives.’

‘I can only say that La Ceruglia and environs surpassed all expectations.’
Canada

‘Fantastic house, everything you could possibly want or need here. Loved Sunday banquet at La Locanda, ice cream at theatre café and the celebration of the Anghiari battle on the 29th June was magnificent. Recommend the Busatti shop! The children spent hours bug hunting and painting sunflowers. La Ceruglia's caretaker has been superb.’

‘We’ve just arrived back from our best holiday ever. From the moment that we first walked into La Ceruglia we fell completely in love with it. It’s so clearly a house that has such a big soul. I love the warm terracotta tiles, the uneven floors, the huge fireplace, the wooden doors, and the steps down to the garden. We made ice-cream, pizzas, played hide-and-seek, and were able to simply be. Some of the other highlights included the warmth of the welcome from the caretaker, petanque up, down and across the slopes, cricket behind the capanno and star gazing from the lounges by the pool.’

‘What a wonderful place to stay! It’s hard to drag yourself away from the house to go exploring. Lovely house, breathtaking views and incredible landscape, I’d love to stay here longer.’
Spain

‘Blissful week spent reading (great collection of books!), swimming, visiting the various villages of the area and sampling the most glorious food and wine. Spectacular house!’
Singapore

‘This is our third visit. Many highlights but listening to Sonny Rollins at the Umbria Jazz Festival topped them all.’
Italy

‘Couldn’t have wished for a better honeymoon. We have taken away lots of memories of sunshine, wonderful house and pool, and endless food and wine.’
London

‘I woke this morning back at home to the sound of steady rain, I kept my eyes shut and imagined La Ceruglia, the grounds flooded with sunshine (as they have been every day) the blue pool with the burnished field and wooded hills behind it and peace and stillness of place with all of us gone. I truly wished I was back there!
It is not only a lovely location, quietly tucked away, but the house itself gives off a spirit, it feels a well loved home, it gives off a kind of contentment which we all felt, I truly loved it.’
