About the House
The main house comfortably accommodates 8, with a double room, a twin room, and a bathroom at either end, separated by the Library.
The capanno has a very large room upstairs, with four single beds and space for a cot (singles can be made up as doubles). Downstairs is a double room, opening onto the garden, and a bath/shower room.
All twin rooms can be made up as doubles.
All linen, including swimming towels, is provided and changed weekly.
Children's bedlinen is also available.
Cots and high chairs are available.
The Library has an eclectic collection of books, including some for children, cookery and guide books. The house has a large collection of board and card games for all ages, an iPod/MP3 docking station, and wireless internet access and a printer. There is a piano and a guitar.
There are open fireplaces in the Library and the Main Room, and the house has gas fired central heating. (Extra metered cost above 100 euros used per week).
Mid-week maid service and a small grocery shop prior to arrival is available at extra cost.
Outside, there are tables and chairs, sunbeds, covered loggias, as well as a barbeque and pizza oven.
There are lawns for badminton, ball games and petanque. (There is a tennis court available for hire in Anghiari, and bicycle hire can be arranged).
The large (46 ft x 20 ft) swimming pool is enclosed and unheated, with a diving board, underwater lighting, and wide steps at the shallow end suitable for small children. There is a foot ledge at a metre's depth all around the pool. There is also an outside shower.
Our caretaker has looked after the house and our guests for many years. He speaks English and is available for advice and help.
A Booking Pack is sent upon receipt of deposit, with further information about the house, its facilities and environs, and including directions.
